Twoleftfeet has a point

Two seasons in top 7
This season meh in league but Euro trophy (maybe)
Next season in Europa (maybe)

Best consecutive 3 seasons in living memory

You have to weigh it against some really poor football at times, but when you look at it against our recent history it’s pretty damn good!

Boring now.

I want Moyes to go at the end of the season, said that for sometime, but I won’t get behind all this hatred of him.

Been 3/4 years of great times with one more to go.

He will leave a West Ham legend when we beat Fiorentina.

You need to be on WHTID, that’s a nice echo chamber of loving Moyes you’ll love and can hang up on the non Moyes believers.

Today’s loss was no different to all season but I can’t blame the players for not wanting to get injured. They have the final where they’ll get to defend with their lives and hopefully score the goals on a counter that win the game true Moyes style. I hope Fiorentina have not sent scouts for route Antonio and try and stop it.

I’d love to be surprised

One of the best away days ever. Loved taking the piss out of their silly plastic fans and that song they sing when they score. We were massive. Top fun.

Could of nicked a draw, Benrahma unlucky and Ings too rusty when he came on, nice finish from Pablo, a season to forget but 7th June could change that.

Well that was crap.
Only players worth their place Fornals,Aguerd and Rice.
Why Rice played 90 minutes lord knows.
Coufal can't play in the final, dreadful crossing and lost his peak defending ability.
Ings didn't deserve to come on,Mubama worth his place.
Moyes creates problems of his own.
Without Rice with Moyes here we'll do an Everton and be fighting relegation next season.

Moyes hasn't given Downes a run of games all season.

Downes had exactly the game one would expect in the circumstances; he certainly allowed Fornals to do more, being massively more active on the ball than Soucek would ever be. Just look at our possession stats today.

Unusually I watched an away game on tv today instead of being there. You could hear the songs clearly, great performance from the fans as usual

If Soucek and Zouma had played then we would have won.

Downes was very average and Faes would never have won that header with Zouma playing.

Got to admit that although it was a nothing game for us, if anyone has gained any confidence about us going into a final they have to be mad.

Moyes is going to do exactly the same thing and set up to stay in the game for 75 minutes. Personally I cannot wait until this shit is over.

That's right.

The question has to be asked:

If we spent another 200 million on players like Paqueta, Aguerd, Kehrer, Emerson and Scamacca this summer, would we somehow avoid relegation next season with Moyes?

Well Moyes learn from the f**king mistakes from today so that you could make amends in the final.

It's a very weird league. Newcastle haven't even spent a lot of money, arsenal only really added 2 new players and their season was great.

We spend 200m and nearly got relegated. Chelsea spent the GDP of a carribean Island and only just finished above us!

I think money is having a huge effect on the league but not in the normal way people think. Instead of ensuring safety Its actually equalising everyone's chances in the league. Every club in the league has a player that could start in a top team, that didn't happen as much before. Clubs can actually keep top players a lot longer than they could have 10,20 years ago.

I think the small point difference between clubs these days is evidence that the spread of money in the league is cancelling out the benefits of having a lot of it.

All the more reason not to give Moyes any more money because that really isn't our problem at all. It's the fucking coaching and tactics that everyone in this league needs to get a handle on these days.

In the end, to stay up fairly comfortably after losing 20 games must be something strange. I'm not sure if the winter world cup played a part but I thought most of the teams this season looked very lathargic and undercooked.

Or maybe I'm just falling out of love with "top" level football

On the bright side with England's best midfielder, a Brazilian starting midfielder & Italy's centre forward we finished one point ahead of Bournemouth & two ahead of Forest

"Got to say one thing - I hope we approach this last game in Prague totally unlike what we have been all season"

Approach it like we did in any number of away games I could mention and we'll be beat

Approach it like we did against Man Utd or last week against Leeds and we'll be fine.

I hope its dawned on Moyes that you cant draw a cup final

FWIW I think had there been anything on this today we'd have got the result we needed. We really looked like a team paying in a dead rubber.
